Rumours of the impending retirement of Hatchets’ star striker, Nick R, have flooded the sporting world today. The rumour was sparked after he allegedly missed three training sessions in a row, and then was not picked for last Friday’s game against Colleges United.
The Herston Hatchets picked up another win last night with a 2 -0 defeat of the simply vile UQ Fifths. Two second-half goals were enough to decide the tight contest and secure the three points. A record crowd of, like, 25 people were in attendance, and the cauldron that is Jack Speare Park threatened to boil over at some points. Continue reading
The Herston Hatchets returned to winning ways last Friday night with a 3-1 victory over Colleges United. It was an enthralling match, with four goals, two missed penalties and a red card. The win will be reassuring to the club’s supporters, many of whom were gearing up for a season of failure after 2-0 loss to Annerley last week. Continue reading
